TIMBER POLES
With AE Evans you have the versatility to have your product manufactured from Radiata Pine or European Softwood. All posts are sanded to produce a high quality finish which gives a splinter free smooth product in accordance with BSEN 1176. The raw material is sourced from well managed sustainable forests.

TIMBER TREATMENT.
All timber is pressure treated on site with the new generation Tanalith E treatment which conforms with the assessment procedure of BSEN 599-1:1997. They are also treated in accordance with the penetration and retention requirements given in BS8417 for a desired use class against rot and insect infestation.

PAINTED STEELWORK.
All painted steelwork used in the production of our play equipment is heavy duty and protected from corrosion by a process called powder coating.
The steel is shotblast to remove any scale or any loose particles from its surface, a layer of zinc powder primer is then applied to offer additional protection against corrosion.

Finally a layer of polyester powder is applied as a top coating to add colour to the product and to give maximum protection against deterioration.

STEEL GROUND FIXINGS.
Our timber framed multi units are fitted with galvanised steel legs at ground level.

COLOURED PANELS.
The coloured panels used in the production of our play equipment are manufactured from a high density polyethylene sheet, which is UV stable, will not crack or delaminate, is easily maintained, resists graffiti and is recyclable.
